Are you looking to build your abs and core at home? It is okay if you don’t have a lot of time or a lot of equipment. I am going to give you a great 5 exercise core workout for men at home. It is going to work your core and your abs. All you need is a set of resistance bands, and you are all set. If you don’t have bands, you can still do 4 of these 5 exercises at home. Let’s get started with the exercises in this core workout for men at home build your abs.
Exercise #1: AB KICKOUT. Use your hands to stabilize your upper body. Bring your knees in towards your chest then extend your legs straight out without touching the ground. Control the leg movement throughout the whole range motion. Do 10 reps, take a short rest then move on to exercise #2.
Exercise #2: ELBOW TO KNEES. This is a standing exercise, and put your hands on the sides of your head. Cross over so your opposite elbow goes to your opposite knee by crunching down with your upper body, while raising your knees. Do 10 reps on each side for this exercise.
Exercise #3: BANDED AB CRUNCHES. Get on your knees, and use a high anchor point with the resistance bands. Hold the handles of the bands to your head, and pull your head down and your elbows to your knees. You are doing a crunch with resistance bands, while on your knees in this exercise.
Exercise #4: SIDE BRIDGES. This is a plank variation, and you are going to do this on your elbows. Bring your hips down until they are close to touching the ground then bring them back up. At the top of the movement, have your body as straight as you possibly can. If you’re still sagging, then you are not contracting your core hard enough.
Exercise #5: SPIDERMAN PLANK. Get in a standard plank position, and bring your knee up towards your elbow. Alternate from side to side, and turn your head towards the side that you are bringing your knee up to your elbow.
