NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health 30th Anniversary

Since its establishment in 1990, NIH’s Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) has served as the focal point for women’s health research at NIH. Over its 30-year history, ORWH has endeavored to grow the relevance of medical research to the health of all women. ORWH places emphasis on rigorous research (that is also transparent and reproducible) and spotlights the need for researchers to consider the potential influence of sex—being female or male—on health and disease.
