Michelle Tree had been obsessed with food all her life. Growing up overweight she had tried almost every kind of diet but still carried extra pounds into adulthood. When she turned 40, Michelle set out to learn all she could about nutrition and plant-based lifestyles. She read dozens of books, watched countless videos and documentaries and even earned 2 plant-based nutrition certificates. She thought she finally had it all figured it out and wouldn’t have to worry about her weight anymore. But during the lockdowns in 2020, Michelle fell back into old habits of binging on processed sugar products and not exercising. Her health was taking a major hit. On the outside, everything looked fine. Michelle was a group leader of a large online plant-based community and working with other plant-based leaders all over the world but privately she was struggling with depression, anxiety and weight gain. She knew that if she didn’t take control of her life her future health would be compromised. So, digging deep and really challenging herself Michelle embraced some new rules for living and learned health wasn’t just about food.
