The Ideal Split Routine for Muscle! (Men over 50 NEED This!)

At a time when the standard Arnold Schwarzenegger bodybuilding workouts were done 6 days a week for a couple of hours and up to 20 sets per bodypart, along came Mr America & Mr Universe Mike Mentzer with his Heavy Duty high intensity training routine. Golden Era bodybuilders and gym-goers in general were convinced that this was the way to train if you want to grow muscle and even possibly look like Mr Olympia. Mike trained only 3 days per week for about 30 minutes with the minimal amount of work necessary to grow new muscle. Muscle building routines were flipped on their tail. In the early ’90’s Mike would create “The Ideal Routine with great consideration given to recovery, growth, and the avoidance of “overlapping”.
His student, Mr America & Natural Mr Universe John Heart, presents that routine in this video along with some of the reasons why men over 50, men ove 40, and yes, women over 40, can all benefit from this routine.
