My Favorite Products
As a mom of three energetic kids, I’m constantly seeking ways to create a healthier environment for my family, from the food we eat to the products we use on our bodies. One small, simple change that’s had a positive impact on my daily life has been the switch to natural deodorant. After some trial and error, this is my honest review of the five best natural deodorants.
I never gave much thought to what was in my deodorant until I started nursing my first baby. When I read the ingredient list on my deodorant label I discovered was a laundry list of chemicals that left me feeling uneasy, especially considering how close my new baby was to them each day.
From baking soda-based formulas to soothing blends of essential oils, there seemed to be a natural deodorant for every preference and skin type.
Transitioning to natural deodorants wasn’t just about eliminating harmful ingredients—it was also about finding a product that actually worked. With three kids to chase after and a busy schedule to juggle, the last thing I needed was a deodorant that couldn’t keep up.
Having a natural deodorant that works and keeps me smelling nice after a strength training, high-intensity interval training or low-impact cardio workout is essential.
I’m breaking down my top five favorite deodorants that keep me feeling fresh and have ingredient lists that avoid harmful chemicals.

Best Natural Deodorant FAQs
The most effective natural deodorant for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. It may take some trial and error to find the perfect match. I have personally had success with aluminum-free deodorants including Hume SuperNatural, Native, Primally Pure, Lume and Megababe.
Using natural deodorants can help you avoid harmful chemicals like aluminum, parabens, and phthalates, which have been linked to potential health risks. These products are gentler on sensitive skin and often utilize plant-based ingredients to provide effective odor protection without the use of harsh chemicals.
Yes! Natural deodorants can be highly effective, but there may be an adjustment period. Once your underarms have detoxed from traditional antiperspirant, you should experience more effective odor protection from natural deodorants.
Adjusting to natural deodorant can vary person to person, but it typically takes 2-4 weeks for your body to fully adapt. During this transition period, you might experience temporary changes in sweat glands and odor as your body detoxifies and adjusts to the natural ingredients. It’s important to give your body time to acclimate and continue using natural deodorant consistently for best results.
